Have you planned your 2016 Christmas break this year?
This Christmas why not treat your family to a joyous, luxury holiday break at Norfolk Park!
Get your plan for Christmas 2016 off the right way and book an unforgettable trip and stay in a Luxury Lodge. The Lodges lay surrounded by a winter wonderland of serenity and picturesque views. There is festive entertainment in abundance in close proximity to Norfolk park so if during your stay you wish to have a family day out, then Peckover House is a great place to visit.
This secret gem is hidden away in an urban environment, it is classic Georgian merchants town house, it was lived in by the Peckover family for 150 years and this winter it is being opened to the public. Selected rooms of Peckover House will be decorated for Christmas with festive floral arrangements. There will also be Christmas trees brought in by community groups to reflect and continue the Peckovers’ legacy and involvement in the community. There will be music by choirs and musicians on site, a surefire way to sprinkle some holiday spirit into the season. There will be Mulled wine to warm the tummy and homemade mince pies available in the Reed Barn.
As anyone who’s visited Peckover Hall before will know, the exterior of the building, while certainly impressive, doesn’t quite do justice to the interior. Wandering through the house’s many beautiful wood-paneled rooms, past ornate fireplaces and plasterwork, really gives you a sense of how the original owners, a Quaker family, would have lived, and the passion they poured into their home. So striking is its appearance that the mansion has appeared in several films, including Dean Spanley starring Peter O’Toole.
Peckover Hall is managed by the National Trust and seasonal celebrations such as these do much to fund the building’s upkeep. Bring the family to discover this magnificent house, as well as the various fascinating collections on display, and you’ll find it hard to resist getting into the Christmas spirit.
This event will be held from 10th-18th December 2016.
