These ghostly white chocolate pears are a fantastic alternative to candied apples this Halloween and are so simple to make. You can use your favorite pear variety as long as they are ripe. Bosc pairs are ideal due to their natural shape they have long necks and wide bottoms make them an ideal for crating these ghostly pears.
Your favourite white Chocolate
Lolly pop sticks
Time to get started, slice a thin layer off the bottom of each pear to make sure it rests flat and stand tall. Remove all of the stems and insert a lolly pop stick into the top center of each pear.
Now the fun part, melt the white chocolate using a double boiler ( heat water on the hob in a pan and place a glass or metal bowl on top with the chocolate inside until liquidized. One at a time, dip each pear into the melted chocolate until it’s completely covered and rest on its base.
Set the pears on a large plate or baking sheet, then place in the fridge for 10 minutes until solid.
With the black and orange icing draw faces and leave to dry in a cool dry place.
