Once you have soaked in some serenity from Cornwall’s natural beauty, you can pay a visit to the local Rydon Inn. It is located on Bude Road and just a 15-minute drive away from the comfort of your lodge.

This barn-style pub serves up a laid-back atmosphere and a little slice of country heaven. Share a glass of fine wine or a pint of locally sourced ale together, sit in the extensive green beer garden and lose yourself in conversation or connect over one of the delicious classics served on their food menu.

Enjoy the majesty of the iconic Launceston Stream Railway

After a laid-back morning in your lodge, you should be feeling ready for an exciting day ahead with your partner. We recommend you visit Launceston for an early adventure on the historical Launceston Steam Railway. With frequent journeys available throughout the day, these iconic and lovingly restored Victorian steam locomotives are one of the very best ways to take in the unspoilt sights of Cornwall.

Travel out to Newmills to explore the Farm Park or explore unique exhibits in the museum. There’s even a café and gift shop available, so you can find the perfect memento to commemorate your romantic break.

Get shopping in Launceston

While in Launceston, indulge in a spot of shopping and spoil each other with unique gifts from local specialty shops. If you’re visiting on a Friday, pay a visit to the Launceston Farmers Market that takes place in the St Mary’s Hall between 9.30am to 2pm. Otherwise, you’ll be able to browse delicious locally sourced produce in one of Launceston’s many fantastic retailers and stock up on ingredients for a romantic evening meal or tasty morning breakfast.


Take a coffee break at the cosy Filter Through Coffee Shop

All that shopping can take its toll on your feet so when you are ready to head back to Holsworthy, pay a visit the Filter Through coffee shop. This charming little café makes for a cosy spot to refuel and relax. Enjoy one of their many delicious lunch options and make sure you give their mouth-watering hot chocolates a taste.

Explore the historic streets of Boscastle

Head back to your lodge to drop off your shopping and, once you’re feeling well rested, you can jump back in the car for a drive to the medieval harbour of Boscastle, which is located 23 miles from the park.

This quaint fishing port is nestled on Cornwall’s north coast and boasts serene beauty alongside incredible architecture, such as its many gorgeous churches. Take a bike ride together through the streets or appreciate some masterpieces in one of its many beautiful art galleries, including the characterful Picture Parlour which is open until 5pm.


Enjoy each other’s company with a candlelit dinner

It wouldn’t be one of the most romantic weekends away in England without a candlelit dinner, courtesy of the fully equipped kitchen in your luxury lodge. Put those ingredients you bought in Launceston to good use and share some romance in your dining area or outside on the decking if weather permits.

Pay a visit to Bude

There’s so much to do here. This two AA rosette restaurant has an elegant atmosphere and its décor is perfectly complemented by an exquisite menu. Their five course tasting menus are divine and sample some of the finest in seasonal flavours. This is served alongside a wonderful selection of fine wines and local ales.
